A monster truck
is a purpose-built vehicle, typically featuring a fiberglass body
styled after a pickup truck, which is used in racing and exhibition
environments. Monster truck events are often described as being a form of ·Sports Entertainment.· Monster trucks events often feature additional forms of motorsports and thrill show entertainment acts, including but not limited to motocross/ATV racing, tractor pulls,
mud drags/bogs, car-eating robots, demolition derby, and most noticably
amateur and semi-pro ·tough truck· racing. Distinguishing features of a modern competition monster truck
include excessively large tires (66 inches tall by 43 inches wide being
the industry standard), powerful drag-racing oriented powerplants
(nearly all are of a V8 configuration), flashy and colorful fiberglass
